VPN Unlimited Lifetime Subscription for $29.99

The Next Web offers a crazy deal on VPN Unlimited product. For only $29.99 you can get a lifetime subscription for up to 5 devices simultaneously. Regular list price is $499.99, however on the official VPN Unlimited website you can get it for $99.99 (look for the Infinity license). This is a ridiculously low price for which you usually won't get even a 1-year subscription from some other vendors. Is there any catch?

If you haven't heard of VPN Unlimited it is a pretty solid VPN solution. It belong under KeepSolid company which is based in the US and they are offering several other products like browser, roadmap planner, eSignature etc. Since they are based in the US, it is very likely they coop with local state agencies. However in their privacy policy they claim they are not logging any user activities.

Feature-wise it offers several standard protocols (OpenVPN, KeepSolid Wise, IKEv2, L2TP/IPsec, PPTP). Surprisingly the encryption is only AES-128 while most of the other vendors are using strictly AES-256. Unfortunately they don't offer advanced features like Kill Switch or DNS Leak protection.

Server-wise you can choose from 400+ servers in 70+ locations, that's probably better than the market average. You can also get your own personal server and IP, but that will cost you extra.

VPN Unlimited is also available as a 7-day free trial, so if you want to give it a try before investing into lifetime subscription go to VPN Unlimited download page.

Overall it's definitely not the best VPN product on the market, but if you are looking for something to protect your privacy while surfing on the free airport Wi-Fi, it will do the job. The only catch is the deal ends on January 6, 2018. VPN Unlimited is also recommend by PCMag as Editor's Choice for 2018 (together with NordVPN, PureVPN and Private Internet Access VPN).
